Tape-in extensions are a type of semi-permanent hair extension that uses thin, pre-taped wefts of hair to add length and volume. Here's how they work:

How They’re Applied:
  • A stylist sandwiches a thin section of your natural hair between two tape-in wefts.
  • Each weft has a strong, medical-grade adhesive strip at the top.
  • The result is a flat, seamless extension that lies close to the scalp.
How Long They Last:
  • Typically last 6 to 8 weeks before needing a reapplication.
  • The hair itself can be reused multiple times (often up to a year) with proper care and regular re-taping.
Pros:
  • Lightweight and comfortable to wear.
  • Blend naturally due to their flat design.
  • Quicker to apply than many other methods (full head usually takes 45–90 minutes).
  • Great for fine or thin hair because they don’t cause much stress on the scalp.
  • Total Weight: 50g / 1.7 oz (each piece is 2.5g)
  • Total Pieces: 20 pieces per pack (10 sandwiches)
  • Length: 20" or 22"
  • Texture: Straight
  • Application: 0.5 – 1.5 hours
  • Reapplication: 6-9 weeks
  • Lifespan: up to 1 year

  • Thin Hair: 1 to 2 packs (50g to 100g)
  • Medium Hair: 2 to 3 packs (100g to 150g)
  • Thick Hair: 3 to 4 packs (150g to 200g)
